KOHLER, Wis. – October 29, 2009 – Expanding its line of aftermarket products, Kohler introduces both new utility engine oil and a 3-in-1 fuel treatment to its PRO Series. Kohler’s PRO Series line offers aftermarket products for all KOHLER engines, for both professionals and consumers alike. The new oil and 3-in-1 fuel treatment offer hassle-free maintenance solutions for power equipment users.
PRO Series Fuel Treatment
Specifically formulated to provide superior protection and performance for 4-cycle engines, the unique 3-in-1 Kohler PRO Series fuel treatment features a fuel stabilizer, corrosion inhibitor and fuel-system cleaner. This type of fuel treatment offers users several important benefits:
Extended fuel storage life – Gasoline degrades over time, which can make starting an engine difficult, and diminish the engine’s performance. Kohler’s fuel treatment preserves the fuel to ensure easy starting and optimum engine performance.
Corrosion prevention– Fuels are prone to water contamination, especially those containing ethanol. Kohler fuel treatment actively protects carburetors and other metal fuel system components from corrosion caused by water-contaminated fuel.
Cleaner fuel systems – Keeping a fuel system clean optimizes engine performance and fuel efficiency while also reducing emissions. Kohler fuel treatment prevents the formation of gum and varnish during periods of extended storage. This treatment features detergent technology that cleans and removes exiting gum and deposits from the internal fuel system components. Kohler PRO Series fuel treatment will be available in 1- and 4-ounce packages in early 2010.
PRO Series Oil
The KOHLER PRO Series oils are specifically designed and developed for KOHLER engines. They are blended with a high-quality base oil and feature an unconventional additive package.
The unique additive package reduces deposits within the engine to prevent detonation and also lower exhaust emissions. The high-quality base oil contributes to the high thermal stability and low oil consumption, allowing for less frequent maintenance and providing significant time- and cost-savings for users.
Additionally, since this oil is specifically tailored for KOHLER engines, it will help to protect the engine from potentially harmful wear that may otherwise be experienced with conventional automotive oils. The PRO Series oils exceed API SM requirements and retain their viscosity range over extreme operating conditions to maintain engine startability. The Kohler PRO Series oil offering includes SAE30, 5W-30, 10W-30 and 10W-30 full synthetic. These products will be available in early 2010.
“An added benefit of the new fuel treatment and oil is that professionals and consumers will lose less time due to engine maintenance. A more reliable engine provides immediate payback to professionals and offers users peace-of-mind for consumers. A big part of long-term engine reliability is using the right aftermarket service products,” said Tom Vallo, Kohler Engines marketing manager for service parts.
