Kohler Engines Celebrates Manufacturing Milestone

April 2013

KOHLER, Wis. – April 12, 2013 – Kohler® Engines celebrated yesterday as the five millionth engine rolled off the assembly line at the company’s Hattiesburg, Miss. manufacturing facility in February 2013. In honor of the milestone, company executives, including David Kohler, president and chief operating officer of Kohler Co., and Tom Cromwell, president of Kohler Engines, were presented by plant managers and associates with the five millionth engine, which was then placed on display in the lobby of the plant.

“This milestone reflects the hard work and dedication of all Kohler employees,” Tom Cromwell said. “But, we’re especially proud today of everyone here in Hattiesburg. We appreciate your ongoing commitment and the role you’ve all played in the continued growth and success of Kohler Engines. Together, we’ve been able to accomplish many great things and I’m certainly excited for what the future holds.”

The Kohler Engines manufacturing facility in Hattiesburg opened in 1998 and is a staple in the Hattiesburg area. The company assembles several different engine models in the facility, including the Kohler Courage® V-Twin, a popular workhorse of an engine found primarily in consumer riding mowers. Available in 11 models ranging from 20-27 horsepower (hp), the Kohler Courage V-Twin delivers user-friendly maintenance, quiet and smooth operation, and a two-year limited warranty.
